'kids' Put Scare In Under 25s

THE Illawarra Zone 16 under 25s survived a big fright in their match against the Junior Academy at Fairy Meadow Bowling Club on Sunday.

The under 25s were expected to face few problems against the best under 18 bowlers in the Illawarra.

But the kids took no notice of reputation and trailed by just one shot heading into the final end.

Players and spectators were hanging on the result of every bowl on the final end, with the under 25s doing just enough to score a 73-68 win. The under 25s won just one of the four rinks, with another drawn.
